CoolMon 0.983 Beta

CoolMon displays vital system information in a small configurable window. Most of the application"s data is retrieved from the Windows performance counters. It is able to display Processor usage, Number of Processes, Number of Threads, Used page file/Total page file, Used RAM/Total RAM, Computer Uptime, Date & Time, Computer name, All IP addresses, Network read and write speed, and Motherboard Monitor temperatures. It can do this locally as well a remotely over a LAN or the Internet.

And I love it ;)

Changes in Current Version:

  • Added "Save current config" to Fast Config menu

  • Added Parameter Option "-noupdate" to disable check for update feature

  • Added Update settings page

  • Auto update disabled per default

CoolMon will work with Windows 2000 and Windows XP only, since CoolMon uses the Windows performance counters, which are only available in Windows 2000 and XP. There has been little to no testing done in Windows 95, Windows 98, Windows ME or Windows NT (or any other operating system). Reports on Windows NT are that CoolMon will display nothing at all when run locally, Windows 95 has not been tested at all. Future support for these Operating Systems is doubtful.
