Crackle shows original movie Extraction first on Microsoft platforms

While Microsoft may be developing its own original video content for Xbox Live, such as the upcoming Halo TV series, the company is also making deals with other streaming video services to premiere content on Microsoft platforms first. Today, one such deal was revealed today with Crackle, which is ironically owned by Microsoft"s console hardware rival Sony.

The Xbox Wire website announced that starting today, people who access the Crackle app on Xbox Live, Windows 8 and Windows Phone 8 will be the first to watch Extraction, which is the first original feature length movie to be shown on the Crackle service; the film sounds like a fun B-movie flick with lots of martial arts battles.

Microsoft platforms will have the exclusive on Extraction from now until September 5th, although it may not be available for viewing outside the US. The Xbox Wire site states:

Extraction follows Black Ops specialist Lt. Mercy Callo (Jon Foo), who must escape a maximum-security prison run by the brutal Warden Ivan Rudovsky (Vinnie Jones) in order to stop a terrorist plot on American soil.
