Critically acclaimed Shadow of the Colossus heading to PS4 in 2018

During Paris Games Week 2017, Sony announced the launch date for the Shadow of the Colossus remake which was announced at E3 2017, in addition to what gamers can expect to see when it finally launches. The studio behind the remake has worked on titles like Titanfall and the recently spruced up Uncharted collection among others, so they do have an excellent track record, to say the least.

The original game launched in 2005 and was developed by Team Ico, who was also responsible for the cult classic Ico. Shadow of the Colossus focuses upon the protagonist wandering in a forbidden land and is tasked with defeating giant monsters called "Colossi", in an attempt to escape his fate. The studio also worked on The Last Guardian which was delayed for many years, until Sony took the reins and pushed it out in December 2016, to fans who have been eagerly awaiting its release.

Shadow of the Colossus will launch February 6, 2018, exclusively on PlayStation 4 and will offer a 1080p 60fps presentation. For those who own the more powerful PlayStation 4 Pro, another resolution option will be available, specifically 4K (2160p) 30fps. The game will set you back $39.99, and if you pre-order it, you will get an exclusive theme and a Life Sword.
