In April, Crytek announced a remaster of the 2007 hit shooter Crysis for modern systems, but following a leaked trailer that garnered a less than positive response, the project was pushed back to give the developer more time to polish the game. Now, it has been announced that the Nintendo Switch version will stick to the original schedule.
Crysis Remastered for the Nintendo Switch will be releasing on July 23. This version will be playable on TV, tabletop, and handheld modes, and will also come with gyro aiming support for easier targeting.
The long-promised Crysis Remastered gameplay trailer is still missing from Crytek, but the official Crysis website is now displaying some gameplay clips of the remaster running on the Nintendo Switch. One of which is embedded above, showcasing the gyro aiming feature.
Crysis Remastered is currently available for pre-order on the Nintendo Switch with a $29.99 price tag. Meanwhile, the PC, Xbox One, and PlayStation 4 versions of Crysis Remastered still do not have release dates or pre-orders available, as even the official reveal was delayed at the last minute.
