The CBS television network brought its CSI franchise one step closer to cultural saturation today, when it announced it had licensed Ubisoft to publish a CSI: Miami game. "We look forward to taking everything that makes CSI: Miami unique as a series and infuse it into our game," said Tony Van, Executive Producer for the CSI series of games.
Like 2003"s poorly received CSI: Crime Scene Investigation, the game will be a PC adventure which mirrors the structure of its television inspiration. Players will try and solve a series of felony cases by solving puzzles, interrogating prisoners, and using forensic techniques. They will also have assistance from characters from the show, which stars David Caruso, Emily Procter, and Khandi Alexander. Ubisoft did not specify which characters from the show would be present in the game.
