Deal: Skype offering 60 international minutes for free

For those of you that like chatting on Skype there"s some good news going around. Skype is now offering 60 international minutes for free and all you have to do to claim them is change your homepage to MSN.com However, this is only aimed at folks in the UK and Ireland.

The campaign works by way of voucher which you can later redeem as Skype credit. All you have to do is hit this link and fill in what you"d like to spend your 60 minutes on, then enter your e-mail address. You"ll be prompted to download a small executable and enter your e-mail address. After that you"ll receive a voucher code which you can redeem using the Skype website or directly in the Skype application.

A word of warning to those who want this voucher: Skype"s systems seem to be a bit messed up at the moment, some vouchers aren"t getting through. Usually you end up with this error: "Sorry, you have reached your monthly voucher redemption limit. Please try again later".

Neowin contacted Customer Support but we were told that they would forward the complaint to a higher department to try to get it fixed.
