Many of you may use Spotify - or any number of similar services - but in Europe, Deezer still remains one of the most popular services for streaming music; boasting over 35 million tracks, coupled with over 30 million radio stations, it has something to suit all tastes.
Now Deezer has announced plans to release a Universal Windows App for Windows 10 and Windows 10 Mobile. To begin with, Deezer is planning to launch a Preview for the app, that will first be available for its Premium+ subscribers. According to their registration form, this will be launched in the coming weeks. For everyone else, it is unknown when, or if, they will get to preview the app ahead of the official launch.
Whilst the service already has an app available on the Windows Store, it is quite inconsistent between the mobile and desktop versions. One shining example is the "Flow" feature. Flow allows Deezer to automatically, on-the-fly, create a playlist related to artists that you listen to often, or tracks that you have marked as your "favourite".
The new Universal App should help overcome some of the differences presented between the current apps - as Universal Apps are designed to be familiar across devices, allowing the user to pick up exactly where they left off.
Over the coming weeks, when the Preview launches, we"ll begin to find out more about how Deezer plans to take advantage of the Universal Windows Platform - and to what extent they will support the new features of Windows 10.
If you"re interested in signing-up for an early look at the app, head over to their Preview Registration Form.
