Dell confirms Windows 8-based Latitude 10 tablet

In May, Neowin received and posted a leaked render of Dell"s Latitude 10 business tablet made for Windows 8. Today, the PC maker finally confirmed that the tablet was indeed real in a new press release that also introduced two more Windows 8 PCs made for business use.

The press release doesn"t go into much detail on the hardware specs of the Latitude 10, but hands-on demos on web sites such as Engadget confirm the leaked render"s specs; a 10.1 inch screen running on Intel"s Clover Trail processor, with 2 GB of RAM and up to 128 GB SSD for storage.

Above specs obtained by Neowin back in May.

It also has a removable battery and a number of ports, including a SD card slot, a USB 2.0 port, a microUSB charging port, and a mini-HDMI port. Dell will sell an optional dock for the tablet which will add even more USB ports, a full HDMI port and more.

Dell"s press release today also reveals the Latitude 6430u Ultrabook. The 14-inch notebook, based on Intel"s Ultrabook specs, is unfortunately not touch enabled like a number of other upcoming Windows 8-based notebooks. Dell also revealed the OptiPlex 9010 23-inch All-in-One PC today,  with a 23 inch screen.

Dell did not reveal prices for any of these Windows 8 devices, but they will be released in late October, around the time Windows 8 itself launches.
