The Inquirer has reported that Dell had revenues in Q3 of $7.47 billion but they"ve made $8.26 billion in the same quarter last year.
Here is what The Inquirer said:
DELL, INTEL"S BIGGEST distributor and the yardstick by which other PC companies measure themselves, showed a revenue drop for its third quarter and although its profit was lower turned in a respectable $429 million.
The firm had revenues in Q3 of $7.47 billion, compared to the same quarter last year when it turned over $8.26 billion, with net profits of $674 million.
Dell did not hold out a great deal of hope for its fourth, normally buoyant quarter, saying that it expected profits to stay around the same.
While there isn"t a great deal of growth in the PC industry, Dell continued to much deep into the marketshare of its rivals and shipped out over four million PCs in the period.
Dell doesn"t expect the PC market to pick up until the middle of next year
