We have seen quite a few tablets surface over the past few weeks and now Microsoft has confirmed some of the launch partners for Windows RT tablets. Along with the Asus 600, Dell, Samsung and Lenovo will also be selling Windows RT tablets in the near future.
The post over on the Building Windows 8 blog goes into great detail about the new variation of Windows but the exciting news is that there are now multiple confirmed vendors who will be pushing Windows RT products.
For a quick refresher, Windows RT will be the low cost version of Windows table ecosystem. Windows RT will only run in the new start screen/modern UI, and will not have access to traditional desktop apps outside of a few exceptions.
While we are not any closer to price points or full blown specs for the unannounced tablets, the more that hit the marketplace the better as options only benefit the consumers. With more products on the shelves, the tablets will be priced competitively and will hopefully be an attractive option this holiday season.
The tablet that you see above is the ASUS Tablet 600 that will come with 10.1in panel, IPS display, NVIDIA Tegra 3 4-Plus-1 Quad-core CPU with 12-core GPU, 8MP rear camera and more which you can read about here.
