Destiny 2 becomes official

After being confirmed during an Activision earnings call last month, Bungie has made Destiny 2 official. The tweet was published this morning, and shows off the sequel"s logo, but not much else.

In order gain a bit more information about the game, we may have to rely on the leaked posters that made their way online last week. According to the promotional pieces, there will be a beta of the game, with an official release slated for September 8.

Naturally, since the poster art hasn"t been confirmed, the information will have to be taken with a bit of caution. It was three years ago that the original Destiny debuted and went on to become one of the best-selling titles of that year. Over the years, the firm has released multiple expansions for the game. E3 is just around the corner, which means Destiny may make an appearance at the show.
