Broforce, a side-scrolling run-and-gun video game developed by Free Lives, used to be playable only on the PlayStation 4, Windows, Macintosh, and Linux machines. However, the game"s list of supported platforms might expand in the future after its publisher Devolver Digital revealed on Twitter that Broforce is "en route" to the Nintendo Switch.
While Devolver Digital confirmed that Broforce is coming to the Switch, the American video game publisher did not mention a specific date for the launch. The confirmation was made in response to a fan"s request for the game"s addition to the Switch.
Broforce is an action-adventure title originally released in October 2015. The game follows a paramilitary organization that deals with bands of terrorists using excessive force across destructible terrains. The goal is to save fellow bros and prisoners of war.
There are dozens of unique playable bros created based on "80s action heroes such as RoboCop, Die Hard"s John McClane, Judge Dredd, Rambo, Arnold Schwarzenegger’s Terminator, and Alien"s Ripley, among others. You can also eliminate opposing terrorists by teaming up with as many as four players in cooperative mode. But if you want to battle your fellow bros, there are several deathmatch modes to choose from.
Nintendo Life noted that the revelation comes as a surprise because when Devolver Digital made several gaming announcements during E3 2018 last month, it didn"t mention anything about Broforce"s upcoming arrival on the Switch.
