Did Apple kill support for Safari 6 on Windows?

If you were one of the few that used Safari on Windows, it would appear that Apple has killed support for the browser on Windows based machines. If you navigate to Apple"s page, you will see that there are no download links for the new browser. At the bottom of the page it says "The latest version of Safari is available in Mountain Lion. The latest version of Safari for Lion is available through Software Update."

For comparison, if you go to iTunes section of Apple"s page, there is a massive button to help you download the software. It could be possible that Apple will roll-out the update at a later point but at this time, you are not able to download Safari 6 directly from Apple.

Using Google cache, we can go back to July 17th, despite the images being gone, we can see that the page previously allowed for Windows consumers to download the browser:

Apple killing support for Safari on Windows is not a major blow to the Windows ecosystem but it is now one less browser option for those of us using Redmond"s OS of choice.
