Last week, at its Build 2015 developer conference in San Francisco, Microsoft made all sorts of exciting announcements, but the one that over 3.7 million people were eager to immediately share in, was the rollout of a new Windows 10 build.
In a nod to those millions of people who have already signed up to the Windows Insider program, Microsoft referred to build 10074 not as a "Technical Preview" - as earlier builds had been called - but as its first "Insider Preview". The new build introduced a wide range of new features and improvements, and also fixed various issues that had popped up in earlier releases (although it still had a few issues of its own).
Indeed, a couple of problems in build 10074 were addressed in an update rollup that Microsoft released yesterday, but given that the OS remains in preview, there are bound to be further issues that need to be resolved in future updates and new builds.
One week on from its release, we"d love to hear how you"re getting on with the latest preview, now that you"ve had some time to get to grips with it.
Did you have any trouble installing build 10074? Is it more stable than earlier releases in your experience? Has Microsoft succeeded in squashing any persistent bugs that had irritated you in previous builds? And do you think the new build represents the kind of progress that Microsoft needs to make to ensure that Windows 10 is ready for launch this summer?
Be sure to share your experiences and opinions of the new build with us in the comments below, and if you"re not yet signed up to Neowin, you can register here - it"s quick and easy, and you"ll also be able to join in discussions with our awesome community on our forums!
