The fondly remembered movie tie-ins for The Lion King and Disney"s Aladdin from the 90s will soon be getting fresh coats of paint in the form of remasters. Although an official announcement hasn"t come out yet, multiple leaks have confirmed that Disney had unveiled this remastered collection of two games during a GameStop manager conference.

The HD remasters will come with the original soundtracks and be playable at 1080p resolutions. Taking into account the brutal difficulty of some sections, the games will also feature fast-forward and rewind functions to easily move to different parts of the game, even acting as a tutorial on how to clear the levels.

The leaks say that both the Genesis and SNES versions of Aladdin will be included in the bundle. The games were developed by two different studios with a number of changes between the versions even though they sport the same name and were released in the same month.

The classic remastered collection of Aladdin and Lion King looks to be getting a retail release on Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and Nintendo Switch. Pre-orders will reportedly go live later today with a launch slated for this fall.

While a PC version was not seen in the leaked announcement, it is possible that a digital-only version of the remaster bundle is being worked on for the platform. Just last month, Disney pulled the updated versions of Aladdin and Lion King from the GOG store. The DOS Steam versions are still available, however.

UPDATE: The collection has now been officially confirmed. Coming with the name Disney Classic Games: Aladdin and The Lion King, the bundle has Digital Eclipse serving as the developer. It will ship with enhancements like upscaled graphics, customizable controls, save states, level selecting, optional cheats, behind-the-scenes content, and just as the leaks said, rewind and fast-forward automatic play functionalities.

The collection will have a whole bunch of playable versions of the two titles. This includes Aladdin"s Sega Genesis, Super Game Boy, as well as "Final Cut" and a rare "Trade Show Demo" variant, along with The Lion King"s Sega Genesis, SNES, and Super Game Boy versions. Sadly, it doesn"t appear as If Capcom’s Aladdin for the SNES will come with the package as the leaks stated.

Disney Classic Games: Aladdin and The Lion King will have a $29.99 price tag when it launches this fall, with it heading to PC, Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and Nintendo Switch.
