Dragon Age 4 has to be one of the most elusive games out there. It was announced years ago and we still haven"t seen anything concrete from the title. However, that may change soon. According to VentureBeat"s Jeff Grubb, the title may launch toward the end of 2023. He revealed this information in the latest episode of his podcast.
Dragon Age 4 has gone through a number of changes over the years, the latest being the most significant because multiplayer was scrapped from the experience. Anthem, an open-world multiplayer game, didn"t live up to expectations and developer BioWare stopped working on the promised rework a year ago.
This isn"t the first time BioWare has abandoned a game in recent years though. Mass Effect: Andromeda was an open-world exploration game that never saw a proper conclusion. All of its planned expansions were canceled and it seems like we"ll never know how that story ends.
Hopefully, Dragon Age 4 won"t suffer from the same fate. However, it all depends on how it"s received by gamers. EA hasn"t had a massive hit in a while, with Battlefield 2042 receiving backlash for the broken state it was released in. It"ll be interesting to see if Dragon Age 4 launches by Holiday 2023 or it"s delayed further. Right now, EA"s reputation has taken a massive hit and it probably wouldn"t be wise to release another broken game.
