Dragon Age II has received its second piece of downloadable content today, entitled "Legacy". "The Exiled Prince" content released for the game on release date, making the Legacy pack the first to come post-release. The Legacy DLC expands upon the game world and allows players to leave the confines of the original game world of Kirkwall.
In addition, the DLC also adds five new achievements, worth 120G, so depending on their difficulty it may be a useful pack for those simply looking to score some quick Gamerscore - assuming players are prepared to pay 800 Microsoft Points ($10) for the privilege. Should you be on the fence about buying the content for the game, a BioWare trailer is available online.
Microsoft has already said that, in order to play the DLC on Xbox LIVE, players will need to have the latest updates for Dragon Age II installed, though this is not uncommon with most expansions for games. The official details for the content are as follows:
A vicious criminal cartel is hunting "the blood of the Hawke." To end their attacks, you must venture outside Kirkwall to investigate a prison constructed by the Grey Wardens in ages past. You will uncover the harsh truths about the Hawke lineage as your journey brings you face to face with an ancient horror. Includes:
(1) Hours of adventuring spread across several brand-new areas.
(2) New enemies to battle including genlocks, brontos, and an epic boss fight.
(3) A powerful class-specific weapon to which you can apply upgrades of your choice. To begin, return to your house in Kirkwall and look for the Memento of Legacy.
