Dying Light 2 loads faster on Xbox Series X than PS5

Dying Light 2 is a first-person action game that takes place after a zombie apocalypse. You step into the shoes of Aiden who"s in search of his missing sister. The Day One Patch fixed a number of issues, and the title is stable for the most part, except for some quests that don"t register as being completed.

Whenever a major AAA game launches, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X owners want to know which system they should pick it up on. While Digital Foundry focuses on performance and resolution, and discovered that the Xbox Series X offers the highest resolution on consoles, it didn"t discuss loading times and other features. Luckily, YouTube channel Open Surprise did that.

According to the video, the Xbox Series X loads Dying Light 2 faster than PS5. Microsoft"s console has exclusive features like Quick Resume, but the PS5 requires a smaller download. The file size is 25.39 GB on PS5 compared to 34.6 GB on Xbox Series X. The Xbox Series X opens the menu around a second quicker and gets you into the game 5 seconds sooner.

The PS5 uses faster solid-state drive (SSD) technology, but features a slower CPU and GPU. However, the difference here appears to be due to a lack of optimization. Maybe Techland will issue an update in the future that takes advantage of the PS5"s super-fast SSD.

Dying Light 2 starts at $59.99 and is available on PC, PlayStation, and Xbox at the moment. You can pick it up from the Microsoft Store or the platform of your choice.
