Real-time strategy game Age of Empires II: Definitive Edition has so far received two expansion packs under Forgotten Empires, the developer behind this enhanced version of the game that landed in 2019. Following Lords of the West and Dawn of the Dukes, the studio today announced Dynasties of India, a brand-new expansion with campaign missions, multiplayer civilizations, and more.
The new Babur campaign will have players taking the roles of Tatars and Hindustanis, with the story centered around "the tiger" Zahir ud-Din Muhammad. The Rajendra campaign follows Rajendra Chola as he expands his empire in south India, with Dravidians being the playable civilization. Lastly, the Devapala campaign offers Bengalis as the playable faction, offering a story about policies and morals of emperor Devapala. All missions of these campaigns come fully voiced.
The expansion will also be delivering three new civilizations to multiplayer: The Bengalis (elephant and naval bonuses), The Dravidians (infantry and naval bonuses), and The Gurjaras (cavalry and camel bonuses).
23 new achievements are also a part of this expansion"s release, available to both Steam and Xbox players. Find the full list in the announcement blog post here.
