EA formally began the journey of bringing back its games to Steam last year, and alongside it arrived the announcement that EA Access would also be arriving to the Valve store. Although it has taken some time, it looks like EA Access is almost ready for its Steam debut, as a new "Subscriptions" section has opened up on the store, listing the service"s benefits and available games.
The listed EA Access benefits are identical to the offerings on other platforms like Xbox and PlayStation. Members get access to a large selection of EA titles, a 10% discount on all wares from the publisher that"s available on Steam, 10-hour trials for its new games, plus some in-game bonuses.
The pricing remains the same too, coming in at $4.99 a month or $29.99 a year. Apart from the newest releases like Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order and Command & Conquer Remastered Collection, the subscription will come with unlimited access to popular series like Battlefield, Need for Speed, Mass Effect, SimCity, The Sims, Mirror"s Edge, and much more.
While there still isn"t a firm launch date attached to EA Access on Steam, the new subscription page does say it will be available "very soon". Meanwhile, EA is also readying an overhaul to its own Origin store and client, which is where its original PC subscription service, Origin Access, is still offered.
