Ahead of its EA Play event, a trailer for FIFA 20"s new Volta made has gone live, confirming that this year"s entry to the enormously popular series will have an entire FIFA Street element.
EA used to have a separate Street line of console exclusive titles that ended with the rebooted FIFA Street from 2012. The company has decided to fold gameplay from that popular franchise onto the main FIFA title this year.
According to the new Volta page that has gone up on EA"s website, players will be able to create custom male or female characters for this mode, and also personalize them with "clothing, hairstyles, tattoos, and in-game celebratory emotes."
There will be "3v3 Rush (No GK’s), 4v4, 4v4 Rush, 5v5, and Professional Futsal" match ups available, all in different playgrounds - set in Amsterdam, London, Tokyo, and more locations - that can come in various sizes, different environments, and even without walls in some cases. A story mode, multiplayer leagues, a mode that takes pro athletes onto the streets, and more were also confirmed to be a part of Volta.
Including both the professional and the new Volta modes, FIFA 20 will be coming out on September 27. Those who purchase either the Champions or Ultimate special editions, however, will get to jump in three days early. Origin Access Premier subscribers will also get the Ultimate edition as part of the service.
EA will be unveiling gameplay elements of FIFA 20 during its dedicated section of the upcoming EA Play livestream. Head over here to see the full schedule.
