At its E3 briefing today, EA announced a number of games including Anthem, A Way Out, Need for Speed Payback, Star Wars Battlefront II, Madden 18, and FIFA 18. Basketball fans were not left out either, with the announcement of NBA Live 18.
After nearly a two-year-long hiatus following the launch of NBA Live 16, EA has now showcased NBA Live 18 at its EA Play 2017 event.
NBA Live 18 boasts numerous improvements over its previous iteration - NBA Live 16. These include enhancements to player control with increased responsiveness in one-on-one gameplay. EA claims that it has added "hundreds" of new animations, styles, and interactions at every position.
The company has also detailed the new dribble system, which allows players to take advantage of an out-of-position defender while on the offense, and use a skillful counter move to stay in front of the ball handler when defending. EA says that it has also enhanced player movements, on-court awareness, and physics-based transitions to an unprecedented degree. You can watch the reveal trailer for NBA Live 18 below:
NBA Live 18 features three game modes including Franchise, Ultimate Team, and The One. The first allows players to take control of their favorite team and guide it to victory season after season. Ultimate Team enables gamers to dominate their opponents using a squad of hand-picked NBA superstars. Lastly, The One is an entirely new game mode in which gamers can create an individual player, and customize him to their liking as they control him in a dynamic career mode.
NBA Live 18 will be available on Xbox One and PlayStation 4 as a free demo this August, with a full release due in September.
