Earlier this month, Microsoft and Electronic Arts announced a partnership that would combine the latter"s EA Play subscription with the former"s Xbox Game Pass Ultimate service at no additional cost, but no specific dates were confirmed for this venture"s rollout, until today. Xbox Game Pass Ultimate members on console will gain access to all EA Play titles on November 10, the same day Microsoft"s next-generation Xbox consoles are releasing.
Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscribers across both the Xbox One family and Xbox Series X|S consoles will be gaining these games, which should amount to over 60 new experiences. Some of the included EA games will also be playable on Android devices using cloud play.
Unfortunately, those looking forward to EA Play joining the Windows 10 Game Pass library will have to wait a little while longer, as Microsoft is aiming at a December launch for that. However, PC users won"t be needing a $14.99 Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscription, with their standard $9.99 per month Xbox Game Pass for PC service gaining EA Play at no additional cost.
Xbox Game Pass now touts over 15 million subscribers, reaching that milestone only five months after it hit 10 million subscribers. Microsoft is also introducing Doom Eternal to the subscription on October 1, the first Bethesda-published title to hit the service following the Zenimax Media acquisition announcement.
