Edge Preview for Android gets the dark theme and password syncing

In mid-October, Microsoft introduced a preview version of its Edge browser to the Google Play Store, making the app available on Android devices. Since then, Microsoft Edge Preview for Android has never stopped receiving new features and improvements, and the latest update from the software giant is bringing the dark theme and password syncing features to the app.

The dark theme allows you to customize the mobile browser to help protect your eyes while surfing the web in low light conditions. Additionally, the password syncing capability is designed to let you gain access to your passwords saved in Edge across multiple devices. Here’s the full note of the changes:

Password syncing: Your passwords in Microsoft Edge are synced across your devices, so no matter the device, you can always get the passwords you saved.

Dark theme: Just like in Windows 10, personalize Microsoft Edge by switching to the beautiful new dark theme - perfect for low-light conditions such as working at night.

The password syncing feature also landed on iPhone devices a few days ago, letting you sync your stored passwords between your Windows 10 PC and your iPhone, and vice versa. The Microsoft Edge preview version was added to iOS devices early in October.

Keep in mind that the preview version of Edge for both the iOS and Android platforms remains unstable, which means you are likely to encounter bugs while using the mobile browser. The final version of the app is scheduled to hit the stable channel sometime next year.
