As reported before, Everything Everywhere ( EE ) is officially launching its ultra fast 4G network today in the United Kingdom. Interested customers have been able to sign up for the new carrier for some time now, but today EE is finally launching its service.
The 4G network is available in ten cities across the Kingdom: London, Birmingham, Cardiff, Bristol, Edinburgh, Leeds, Sheffield, Manchester, Liverpool and Glasgow. However, EE has promised that by the end of the year five additional cities will be added to this list, with further wide-spread adoption in 2013.
If you want to take advantage of the new service you’ll have to sign up for one of their 4G contracts which, as we already know, don’t come cheap at all. If you actually do the decide to sign up you can pick and choose from a rather nice list of devices including the new Nokia Lumia 920, the iPhone 5 and the LTE version of the Samsung Galaxy S3.
Hopefully prices will drop next year when other carriers will start to offer 4G services but until then you’re pretty much stuck with EE. Give us a shout below if you’re excited by the launch.
