In your searches, stealing your bytes..
Emma Watson is the most appealing celebrity to lure unwitting Internet users to download all sorts of malware, said McAfee on Sunday.
The security giant found that Emma Watson searches yield nearly a one-in-eight chance of landing on a malicious site. Furthermore, Watson replaces Heidi Klum who topped the list last year. This is now the sixth year in a row that McAfee has researched the phenomenon.
The study found that women are more dangerous than men with Jessica Biel taking the number two spot and Eva Mendes coming in third; late-night host Jimmy Kimmel was the only male in the top 20.
Other searches included “Emma Watson and free downloads,” “Emma Watson and nude pictures,” “Emma Watson and fakes,” and “Emma Watson and busted” are most at risk of running into online threats designed to steal personal information by fans searching for either the latest info on the star, or dodgier (fake) content.
