Microsoft is now offering a free Xbox One S in the UK to those who buy certain Surface Pro 4 and Surface Book models. However, the most affordable models don"t qualify for that deal - but if you can"t justify paying for one of the more costly Surface devices, you may be interested in another offer currently available in the UK.
Amazon is exclusively offering Prime members in the UK a whopping 20% off Microsoft"s entry-level Surface Book.
Usually £1,299 - and currently listed at that price on the Microsoft Store - the Amazon Prime deal slashes £260 off its price, reducing it to £1,039. That particular model includes a sixth-generation (Skylake) Intel Core i5 processor, 8GB of RAM, and 128GB of storage. Like other Surface Books, it also comes with a Surface Pen - but it doesn"t include the discrete GPU available on the other models sold in the UK.
If you"re thinking of taking advantage of that offer, it might be best to act quickly. At time of writing, Amazon"s store listing said that only 13 units remained in stock, and while it also stated that there are "more on the way", it"s not clear how long the exclusive Prime discount will remain available.
Yesterday, Microsoft unveiled a new range-topping edition of its Surface Book with improved performance and better battery life - but the company hasn"t yet revealed plans to offer that model in the UK.
