Epic Games Store kicked off its first major sale - dubbed Mega Sale - last month, featuring regular discounts as well as a special 10$ Epic sponsored discount that applies to every game priced above $15, with almost no exceptions. Just for the sale duration, Epic also increased the frequency of its giveaways, that kicked off over six months ago, from bi-weekly to weekly.
It seems the constant giveaways have turned out to be a successful tactic in getting more players to its platform, as the company announced today that the weekly free games aren"t stopping until the end of 2019, essentially doubling the number of games users can grab. The Mega Sale will close its doors as planned on June 13, however.
For those who missed it, right now the store is giving away Kingdom New Lands, with Enter the Gungeon replacing it on June 13.
Epic has also been successful in gathering even more exclusives to its storefront this E3 season, with a majority of them being announced during the PC Gaming Show. The upcoming Epic Games Store exclusives include Shenmue 3, Chivalry II, Zombie Army 4: Dead War, Untitled Goose Game, Twin Mirror, and Auto Chess.
