Just like clockwork, Essential is holding another biweekly Reddit AMA. While there will undoubtedly be plenty of enlightening answers to asked questions, the firm has also announced ahead of the AMA that it will be releasing a new version of its Android Oreo beta.
For those unfamiliar, Essential has been offering PH-1 users an Android Oreo beta since November. Since that time, it has released a new update every month with the second version being released in December. Although the full details have yet to be revealed, the firm will now release the third beta that will also come with a January security update. This article will be updated with the full details of the update once they go live on the website.
Like any beta software, this is not a finalized version and there could be issues. When updating to the beta, it would be a good idea to back up any crucial data that you might have on your device like photos. If curious, you can head to the beta website for full details.
Update: The firm has now released the ROM via download link so it can be sideloaded.
