Essential will be announcing its near bezel-less device on May 30, offers new teaser image

It was a couple months ago that Android co-founder Andy Rubin tweeted a teaser of an upcoming device that his new startup, Essential, would be announcing. The image showed off a near bezel-less handset that would later be outed to be running Android. Now, it looks like the time is near, with the official Essential Twitter account announcing that something big will be coming on May 30.

If the initial image from a couple months ago wasn"t exciting enough, Essential also dropped another teaser on its Twitter account that is quite interesting. While the image above seemingly captures the silhouette of the anticipated smartphone, one can most definitely speculate as to what exactly the protrusion from the top of the device may be and its function.

Although we will have to wait a few more days until the handset is revealed, it should offer top-end specifications, if the leak from last month is to be believed.
