Expedia has announced the launch of its new app for Windows 10 PCs, tablets and phones, which it says will "make planning and booking your next vacation faster and easier than ever".
The company highlighted the strength of Microsoft"s Universal Windows Platform in its blog post today, saying that it "built the app to give Windows 10 customers a straightforward and seamless way" to browse the selection of flights, hotels and rental cars available to travelers around the world.
Along with faster launching and improved performance compared with its older Windows app, it says that the new version will also offer "interactive device notifications" and allow you to "receive important travel alerts and changes to your itinerary with Expedia emails".
Significantly, the app also includes Cortana integration; indeed, Expedia says that "you can book trips with simple, natural conversations" with the digital assistant, which will also deliver "helpful travel notifications and status updates for all of your upcoming Expedia-booked trips".
The new app is available to download now from the Windows Store.
