Facebook for Windows has been updated to version 140.1118.22941.0, to include features that were already available in the latest Facebook Beta update. More importantly, however, the company has added support for Jump Lists to its UWP app, a feature that will likely delight social media enthusiasts.
Jump Lists for the Facebook app will allow users to perform tasks like updating their status, or searching through the app, without the need to launch it first. Simply right-clicking on the application icon in the taskbar or start menu will bring up the relevant menu, providing users with the freedom to go directly to the desired function. The actual Jump List for the Facebook app can be observed below.

The changelog for the update notes a few more enhancements, though these are fairly routine:
- Introduced the novelties already available in the latest Beta Facebook update.
- Added support for the Jump List.
- Improved search for contacts, pages, and groups.
- Improved access to Messenger.
- Bug fixes and various enhancements
It remains to be seen whether this feature will be further improved in the future to provide access to additional tasks and functions within the application.
