Recently, Facebook has been adding Snapchat-like features to its Messenger app, making it more and more similar to the competing instant messaing app . A major Facebook Messenger update has just been released, which further adds such features into the app.
Additionally, Snapchat-like filters and masks have also been added. These will map real time in calls, just like reactions, using new augmented reality capabilities. These masks and filters are the same ones that are available in Facebook"s Camera feature.
Along with these, the update also makes it easier for users to take screenshots of their video chats by adding a dedicated button, saving users from pressing a combination of physical buttons for this purpose.
The update is currently being rolled out to the users worldwide.
