Facebook"s advertising policies clearly prohibit misleading content, including false claims and offers. Unfortunately, many advertisers on the social networking site sometimes violate those policies by either failing to deliver an item on time or misrepresenting their product, leaving customers disappointed with no way of complaining.
Facebook is now making it easier for customers to report advertisers that don"t fulfill their promised shipping time or meet customer expectations with a new tool that launches worldwide.
The tool is available from the Ads Activity tab, where customers can review businesses they"ve recently purchased from and click the "Leave Feedback" button. Customers will then be able to answer a short questionnaire to describe their experience with that business.
Facebook says the goal of the new tool is to gather feedback from its users in order to identify advertisers with a poor quality of goods or services. Businesses with plenty of negative feedback will receive a notice from Facebook and guidance on how to improve their service.
Advertisers whose customer feedback does not improve over a period will be subjected to reduced visibility of their ads on Facebook. If feedback continues to remain unfavorable, Facebook may decide to ban those businesses. The social media giant aims to connect more users with advertisers that "meet their expectations" with this new reporting tool.
