Fallout 76 announced by Bethesda, full reveal coming at E3

Following a long livestream of a Vault Boy bobblehead standing in front of a screen that said "Please Stand By," - with the bobblehead even going to sleep during the night - Bethesda finally revealed what was all the ruckus about with a teaser trailer announcing its new game: Fallout 76. The teaser in its entirety can be seen above.

Outside of the trailer, the studio has released no information regarding the game, so we can"t be sure if this is some sort of a spin-off title like Fallout: New Vegas was, or something else entirely.

The 76 stands for the name of the facility that the game will seemingly take place in, Vault 76. This facility has been mentioned in previous Fallout installments, where it is revealed to be a Vault that would open its doors to the wasteland only 20 years after the nuclear attacks. Considering even the original Fallout took place almost a century after the great war, Fallout 76 could give us a much earlier glimpse at the state of the wasteland if it did open up after a 20-year lockdown.

Bethesda has promised more information on Fallout 76 at its E3 presentation next month, which is set to take place on June 10 at 6:30pm PT.
