The sixth entry in the mainline Far Cry franchise is launching next month, and Ubisoft today detailed what exclusive features PC players can expect from the version they are receiving. In usual Ubisoft fashion, Far Cry 6 in-depth system requirements have been revealed too.
Starting with features, DirectX Raytracing is being used to enhance reflections and shadows, while a partnership with AMD has brought in FidelityFX Super Resolution support to bump up any faltering frame rates. An optional high resolution texture pack will be offered as well. Meanwhile, the built-in benchmark tool will provide a straightforward way to test out settings, with previous results also being shown on the graph for quick comparisons.
Like other modern Ubisoft titles, ultra-widescreen monitor support, uncapped frame rates, extensive graphics options with previews to show differences, input controls customization, and a photo mode will be present here. Moreover, colorblind options, closed captions, text to speech, and other accessibility features will also be included in the title. While a field of view slider was not mentioned specifically, it should be there as well.
