Ubisoft has been quiet about Far Cry 6 for quite some time now since the game"s launch date was pushed back in the company"s latest round of delays. The lull is finally ending though, as the first gameplay showcase of the first-person action game will be unveiled on May 28 at 9:30 AM PDT / 6:30 PM CEST on Ubisoft"s YouTube channel.
The sixth entry was announced in July last year with a cinematic trailer, setting the stage for the newest playground players will be entering: the fictional Caribbean Island of Yara. The storyline has players taking the role of freedom fighter Dani Rojas, who can be male or female depending on the player"s choice. Adding to that, the protagonist is fully voiced and, for the first time, will even appear in cutscenes from outside perspectives.
Breaking Bad and The Mandalorian actor Giancarlo Esposito plays the main baddie this time as president Antón Castillo, a fascist dictator. Ubisoft has also said the game would feature the series" first dense urban space, which we may finally get to see during the upcoming gameplay presentation.
