Sierra Entertainment has just released a new content patch for F.E.A.R. updating the highly acclaimed Horror themed FPS to version 1.05. There are two versions of the patch, a full version which will patch any version of the game to version 1.05 and it clocks in at 411 mb, and an incremental version which will patch you from version 1.04 to 1.05 and it clocks in at 148 mb. Included in this patch are quite a few treats. Two brand new multiplayer modes are included, along with two new multiplayer maps. A new 1.05 SDK accompanies this patch, a new Win32/Linux dedicated server and the usual bug fixes are also included. Here is a description of the new game modes:
Control mode:
Two teams compete for three Control Points. Teams earn points for each Control Point they hold. To win, one team must reach the score limit before their opposition or have the highest score when the time limit expires.
Capture All mode:
Two teams compete for five Control Points. Team points are earned for neutralizing or capturing a Control Point as well as killing enemy players. To win, one team must capture all five Control Points, reach the score limit before opposing team does, or have the highest score when the time limit expires.
