Today, Mozilla announced the latest version of Firefox for iOS - version 12.1. The new update brings several new productivity features in tow to help you get more done in a more convenient fashion. One of the new feature, for example, allows you to open the menu item in Firefox and see whether you’re signed into Sync, this alone saves rifling through the settings screens and gets you syncing bookmarks, passwords, and tabs quicker.
Another new feature, which the browser apparently didn’t support before, is downloads. In its blog post, Mozilla said:
“For those times when you need to leave the office but want to read that file during your commute or at a later time, we now provide support for downloading files to your mobile devices. First download them to your device, then access and share it in the main menu where you’ll find a folder with all your downloads.”
The last major addition in this version is the new link sharing menu. When you find an interesting page you want to read but don’t have time to, you can open up this new menu and choose to add the link as a bookmark or add it to your reading list for later. If you are signed in with a Firefox account you can also send the link to a remote device.
Firefox for iOS 12.1 is now available from the App Store so if you have the app installed you should check your updates tab.
