Late last week, the Mozilla foundation rolled out an update for Firefox, a web browser (see here). Whilst they somewhat coyly alluded to a number of fixes in the version, it wasn"t immediately clear the scale of fixes contained in the update.
In case you were in any doubt, the number is
21. Secunia described the fixes as patching up holes that allowed "
Security bypass, cross site scripting (aka X-SS), spoofing, exposure of sensitive information, denial of service (DOS), and system access." So nothing too major then.
We"re urging all readers to update
ASAP. Users running 1.5.0.2 or 1.0.8 are un-affected.
