If you haven"t heard of OnePlus, I won"t blame you. It"s a new startup company that was started in December of 2013 by former Oppo Vice President, Peter Lau. With a simple mantra of "Never Settle", Lau is looking to introduce a new handset into the market. OnePlus will focus on creating a handset that combines performance with premium quality and a sleek design.
Back in January, One Plus announced that it would be partnering with Cyanogen Inc. to produce a custom Android OS for its device. Today, as reported by Engadget, we see the first images of this custom OS. The first image is the shot of a lock screen. The UI is simple with a partial photo revealing itself on the top section, with a large clock in the middle, a message notification below that, with a battery and weather icon on the bottom. The second is a screenshot of the device running Android 4.4.2 on a device simply titled One. While details and information are scarce, OnePlus is expected to make its debut April 23rd with a 5.5" 1080p screen, 13MP rear camera, swappable back covers, and powered by a 3300mAh battery. The OnePlus is to be priced at under $400 off contract.
