First Modern Warfare 3 DLC pack finally coming to PC

PC gamers have been left behind in terms of post launch support for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3. That situation is finally ending, at least in part, as developer Infinity Ward announced on their Twitter page this week that the first DLC collection of maps for the hit first person shooter will be released for the PC version May 8th.

The DLC pack, with the rather dull title of "Content Collection 1," was released for Xbox 360 owners in March and for the PS3 iuin April. It will contain four new multiplayer maps: Piazza, Liberation, Overwatch, and Black Box, along with two more Spec Ops co-op missions: Black Ice and Negotiator. You can check out the maps in the video above.

Activision has not yet announced what the DLC pack will cost PC gamers, although presumably it will be the same $15 price that the Xbox 360 and PS3 packs had. Meanwhile, PC owners are still waiting for Activision to launch a version of their online service, Call of Duty Elite. It"s been available for the console versions since Modern Warfare 3 was released in November but the publisher has been silent about when the promised PC port will be made available.
