The Nintendo Switch is an extremely popular handheld gaming console that is used by millions of people worldwide. Back in October, Nintendo announced an "expansion pack" for the accompanying Nintendo Switch Online service, with a range of Nintendo 64 and Sega Genesis games available to play.
However, it faced a lukewarm reception with many gamers dissatisfied with the collection on offer as well as the steep asking price. Nintendo stated that it would soon be sweetening the deal by expanding its game library, and it has started to do that. Five more Sega Genesis games have been added to the Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack, as can be seen in the company"s Twitter announcement below:

All of these games are only available on the Switch if you are subscribed to the Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack. With today"s additions, the number of Sega Genesis games on offer are 19 while the number of Nintendo 64 games stands at 10.
Given the recent move, it"s likely that subscribers will be receiving Sega Genesis games in bigger batches compared to Nintendo 64. All in all, these additions certainly make the Expansion Pack more enticing for fans of the classics, given Nintendo"s disappointing lack of game preservation outside of this initiative.
