Last December, Epic Games showed off a trailer for its next major game during the Spike TV Video Game Awards. . The game itself was called Fortnite. At the time, Epic said the game was set in " ... an expansive original world that invites players to be creative, resourceful and collaborative by day and defend their prized fortress by night ... all utilizing the latest Unreal Engine technology."
Since then Fortnite has been under a cone of silence but that will soon change. Today, Epic revealed that it will share the first concrete details of Fortnite during a panel held as part of the annual San Diego Comic-Con. The panel itself will be held on Thursday, July 12, the first full day of the massive pop culture event.
On hand for the panel will be Design Director Cliff Bleszinski, Producer Tanya Jessen and Lead Artist Pete Ellis as they promise to reveal how Fortnite is " ... taking Epic Games in both a classic and all-new direction." If you were wondering if you still had some time to go to San Diego Comic-Con this year, don"t bother; the event is completely sold out.
Comic-Con has over 125,000 attendees each year, which is over twice what E3 2012 has, and we have seen more and more game developers making big announcements at the show.
