Epic Games" sandbox co-op title Fortnite, was released earlier this year and enjoyed quite the sales performance. Despite some less than enthusiastic reactions from the makers of PlayerUnknown"s Battlegrounds, the former title"s Battle Royale-style was released as a free standalone. Not that Halloween is just around the corner, there"s a suitably themed update headed for the game.
The 1.8 patch, aptly dubbed the Fortnitemares Update lands just in time to celebrate the spookiest time of year. Among other things, the update brings a new zone, Hexsylvania, along with new enemies - Pumpkin Head Husk and Vampire Taker -, 25 story quests, and eight new heroes to choose from, as can be seen below:
Unlike what the name of the title would suggest, you won"t have to wait two weeks to get this patch, as it lands on October 26 for Xbox One, PS4 and, PC.
