Microsoft has had a big year. You know, refreshing almost all their products, going to conferences all over the world, partnering with OEMs for their brand new operating system, and generally preparing what might just be the biggest set of launches in their entire history.
In preparation Microsoft has been opening up new stores all across the US. Reportedly there will be 44 stores by mid 2013. The stores are a good place to get the vibe of the "new Microsoft", see their products and, as you might know, get your hands on the new Surface once it launches. The new tablet and Windows 8 will be available on October 26th after a midnight launch.
As we reported last month, this weekend Microsoft will be opening up four new stores, each with their respective show, which I have to admit is pretty impressive. The new additions on the block are as follows:
- White Plains, NY on the 28th with Lenny Kravitz leading the proceedings
- Huntington Station, NY on the 28th, Legend& Taio Cruz and Curtis Martin will be in the building
- Salem,NH on the 29th where you can enjoy O.A.R. and Young the Giant
- Newark, DE also on the 29th with Weezer doing the opening act
If you want to join in the celebrations, you can register on the Microsoft Store Facebook page, and be sure to tweet us pictures of the opening.
