Funker set to launch mid-range W6.0 Pro running Windows 10 Mobile with Continuum support

Funker, a Spanish smartphone maker, is rumoured to be preparing to launch its next Windows 10 Mobile handset, following the debut of its W5.5 Pro in February. The W6.0 Pro boasts upgraded specs in comparison to its predecessor, citing Continuum support and a 6-inch display, all in a mid-range device.

Diving into the rumoured specifications of the device:

  • 6-inch 1080p display (scratch-resistant Gorilla Glass 3)
  • 3GB RAM
  • 32GB internal storage
  • 8-Core 1.4Ghz Qualcomm Snapdragon 617
  • GPU Adreno 415
  • 13 megapixel front-facing camera + 5 megapixel rear-facing
  • 3,900mAh battery
  • Bluetooth 4.0
  • Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac
  • 4G LTE connectivity (bands 1/2/3/4/7/8/9/19/26/28B)
  • Continuum support
  • 160 x 82.3 x 7.9mm; 176g

You may notice that it"s sporting the Qualcomm Snapdragon 617, which may seem on the low-end for Continuum. At the tail-end of January, Microsoft added Continuum support for the Snapdragon 617, paving the way for mid-range Continuum devices.

Pricing and availability of the device are not yet known, although we should expect to hear more soon once the company makes their official announcement. Pricing of its predecessor, the W5.5 Pro, came in at €239.90 EUR (around $260 USD), so we anticipate the W6.0 Pro to be higher than that, as it is an upgraded version of the device.
