GALAX shows off amusing Lego-themed DDR5 memory modules for LEGO lovers

Intel"s upcoming Alder Lake-S platform is set to debut many next-gen features like PCIe 5.0 and DDR5 DRAM support. This means partner vendors are busy at work trying to make interesting and desirable products based on the 600-series chipset motherboards and also DDR5 memory modules. GALAX, which is also such a vendor based in China, showed off such a product to the Chinese press recently according to a report by Expreview.

Inspired by LEGOs, the add-in-board (AIB) firm is making DDR5 memory modules for its GAMER series that will have an ARGB strip of light on top of the sticks that are shaped like legos. The idea is that gamers and general users will be able to attach any LEGO piece on top of the module in order to customize how their RAM kits look depending on personal preferences. The image below demonstrates this mechanism. The general appearance of this memory seems to resemble that of Tetris pieces.

In terms of hardware specifications, the Lego-themed GAMER memory is apparently specced like a standard dual-channel 16GB DDR5-4800 kit which means the focus for this product is mainly on looks.

Sadly though the GAMER series of products is generally a China-only product lineup which means this amusing LEGO DDR5 kit will probably not be available elsewhere.
