Samsung has begun rolling out a firmware update for the S20 series of devices that brings the July security patch, along with a few other improvements to camera performance and more. The update is currently being served to devices in South Korea, but it should not be long before more unlocked devices begin receiving the update. The firmware version is G98xNKSU1ATFD and comes in at around 386MB.
Camera improvements in the update include enhancements to the quality of zoomed images and video stabilization capabilities. The South Korean manufacturer has been rolling out multiple updates aimed at improving camera performance owing to many known issues that were plaguing the device since launch. This round of updates, however, does not specifically target any autofocus issues.
In addition to the camera improvements, the update brings the ability to use Bluetooth microphones for recording audio via the voice recorder app. It also ends support for the MirrorLink standard, a move that was reported back in April.
Samsung has got into the trend of releasing monthly Android patches coupled with its own firmware updates for its flagship devices even before they are detailed by Google. However, it generally is a staggered rollout, meaning that the update will gradually make it to devices across markets. You can head to Settings > Software update > Download and install to force the phone to check for an update.
