Galaxy S22 Ultra rumored to boast faster charging speeds, new color and S-Pen support

Samsung is expected to launch the Galaxy S22 series early next year and we"re seeing tidbits of leaks across the internet. Thanks to the tipster Ice Universe, the Galaxy S22 Ultra will come with a 5,000 mAh battery and will have the ability to charge at 45W. This will allow the device to gain 70% battery in just 35 minutes. The standard Galaxy S22 and S22+ models will, however, stick to a 25W charging speed.

Another leak points us towards some new colors the Galaxy S22 Ultra might sport. These new colors will be dark red and green, in addition to the more traditional black and white. The source reckons that there might be even more colors to pick from.

The S22 and S22+ will have a battery capacity of 3,700mAh and 4,500mAh battery respectively. The two models will also have a 50MP main, a 12MP wide-angle, and a 10MP telephoto camera. The S22 Ultra will feature a better 108MP main sensor in addition to a 12MP wide-angle camera and two 10 MP zoom cameras capable of 3X and 10X optical zoom.

Samsung seems to draw a clear line to separate its standard Galaxy S22 and S22+ devices from the Galaxy S22 Ultra model. With new colors, powerful specs and even support for built-in S-Pen, the S22 Ultra is perhaps a replacement for the recently discontinued Galaxy Note series.
